Title: shell no.7
Size: 26.5" x 30" x 1"
Medium: Synthetic polymer paint on wood
Year: 2014

The recent works shell[skin] 2010-2017, exist in the intersection of digital technology, product design, architecture and the body. Not taking a fixed position but questioning our relationship with rapidly developing technologies. What forces are shaping the future of humanity and the current discourse and context in which these are embedded. The process involves converting my drawings into vector format that are than laser cut. The lasercut shapes are built up in layers and the constructions hang in a liminal space between painting and sculpture.
