The recent works shell[skin] 2010-2018, exist in the intersection of digital technology, product design, architecture and the body. Not taking a binary “either/or” position, but rather questioning our relationship with rapidly developing technologies and accelerating global changes. What are the forces that are shaping the future of humanity and the current as well as historical discourse in which these are embedded. The process involves converting my drawings into vector format that are than laser cut. The laser cut shapes are built up in layers and the constructions hang in a liminal space between painting and sculpture.
